Before becoming an attorney, Susan Landrum was a noted educator. Ms. Landrum received her bachelor's degree in political science from Agnes Scott College in 1966. After receiving her Masters Degree, Ms. Landrum served for five years as an assistant professor at Gainesville College, and was selected as an Outstanding Educator in America in 1972.
In December of 1975, she graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law. After graduating from law school, Ms. Landrum immediately entered private practice as a sole practitioner in Ellijay, Georgia. In 1985, she became a founding partner in the firm of Landrum and Landrum in Jasper, Georgia.
Ms. Landrum served as a member of the Federal Judicial Selection Committee for Georgia, the Federal Merit Review Panel for the Northern District of Georgia and the Governor's Medical Malpractice Advisory Council. Ms. Landrum chaired the Friends of the Pickens County Library Board, the Ellijay-Gilmer County Chamber of Commerce, the State Personnel Board of Georgia, and the initial Board of Trustees of the Carl Vinson Institute of Government at the University of Georgia.
Susan Landrum passed away in 2001 and is sorely missed.
